We’re pleased to announce the successful completion of several parking stress surveys for residential development projects in Croydon, all carried out in accordance with the Richmond Methodology. This approach is widely accepted by local councils, including Croydon, and ensures accurate, policy-compliant assessments of on-street parking capacity and stress levels.
Each survey was carefully scoped with prior approval from the relevant planning authority, including agreement on survey extents and timing. The methodology involved mapping a 200m walking radius from each site and conducting three overnight surveys — two weekday nights and one weekend night (Sunday) — during peak residential parking hours.
All data was captured in line with local authority requirements, including precise bay mapping, street inventory details, and actual parking occupancy (including illegally parked vehicles) to ensure a complete and transparent stress calculation.
The results demonstrated that the proposed developments would not lead to excessive on-street parking stress, supporting a smoother planning approval process.
Recent Completed Surveys:
- 10 Upper Selsdon Road, Croydon
- Walsh Crescent, Croydon, CR0 0BX
- Birchanger Road, Croydon, SE25 5BE
We continue to provide expert, council-approved parking surveys across London and beyond, helping developers streamline the planning process with confidence and compliance.
